Chris Rock Good HairI’ve finally got a chance to see Chris Rocks Good Hair. I know I’m late.

After watching the movie my initial thought was “Good Try”. Come on, its Chris Rock did you expect a doctoral dissertation on the psychological issues black women have with hair. He went for the laughs with a side of facts and pertinent information.
Although it wasn’t an all encompassing analysis of black women and hair. Good Hair did a good job of bringing to light black women’s obsession with their hair and the monetary cost of their psychosis (my thoughts). Chris Rock only describes what good hair is to various people and lets their answers display the craziness.

The most informative part of the movie was when he went to India to see where all this Indian Yaki hair is coming from and how its collected. That was an eye opener how much money is made collecting and selling weave hair. I wish I could get that Indian connect, I would be the legal version of Frank Lukas getting his Heroine straight from Vietnam.
He goes through Perms and Weaves discussing the huge money machine behind both hair choices. In an interview with a chemist he discussed exactly what a relaxer is and its affects on the hair and scalp. No wonder the sisters don’t have edges any longer. (If you know you know if not ask a sister). On of the most telling parts was when he told the chemist (white) what women use to straighten their hair, the chemist was perplexed.

I thought it was interesting that he didn’t discuss women who Hot Comb and Press their hair, a choice that many black women make, which doesn’t need loads of chemicals. Growing up on the east coast I thought all black women permed their hair or had naturals, but since moving to Los Angeles I’ve found that because its so much less humid out here black woman have the option of Hot Combing their hair. Leading to much healthier and longer hair.

Chris Rock spent much too much time at the Bronner Bros. International Hair show in Atlanta and their craziness.
It would of been nice if he would of given a historical and cultural perspective as to why black people in general give such attention to their appearance in general. There was no mention of Madame CJ walker who built her fortune on black hair care products.
The issue with Black’s and their hair is a very deep one that runs to the core of our community. It doesn’t only affect women, black men also have a healthy obsession with their hair. Brothers spend a lot of money on hair cuts, shape ups, perms and curls just like women.
In the end I thank god my wife doesn’t have a weave or a perm.

Uninvited guests being able to crash a party held by President Obama is worrisome. I don’t know if this is unprecedented, but it is definitely troubling.
If my memory serves me correctly, there are 400% more threats against President Obama than there were against George Bush. Damn, and I thought everyone hated Bush. In other words the fringe militia white boys are riled up and they are gunning for my man, Obama. Rather than increase the budget of the Secret Service their budget is cut while they have more threats to asses.

Now in this climate of violence and hate against the president how does the secret service allow 2 uninvited guests to crash a state dinner and take picture with the Vice President and Chiefe of Staff, WTF.
Is this some type of Cabal to get President Obama assasinated. I certainly hope not. I don’t know what would happen if some one got to the president. There would definitely be riots in the streets of many of the nations urban centers. In other words the brothers would burn the hood down.

Now about these uninvited guests I hope the Salahis don’t think they are going to get off scott free for crashing the presidents party and making a laughing stock of the secret service. Every layer from the Justice Department to the Presidential Council is cooking up some way to throw the book at these two. I’m not going to totally hate on them, they had the balls to do it and they did it. I can always appreciate that.

When I first heard of Heather Ellis and the story about how she is now facing 15 years for cutting in line (joining her cousin in line) at walmart and resisting arrest, I knew this must of been some type of mistake. Heather Ellis, her lawyers and the media at large claim that racism is a major factor. According to her, because she was black the other patrons, the cashier and the police officers blew her joining her cousin ( cutting ) in line way our to proportion that led to her being on trial for 2 Felony counts of assaulting a police officer.

Now that I have had time to sit down and really think about what all this means, I’ve come to the conclusion that , she . . . .
Needs to get the fuck out of here. What the fuck were you thinking. Here let me give you some help Heather. I’m not saying the Cashier, Other Customers and Police weren’t racist and contributed to the situation getting out of control, but its up to you to control how you act. When I heard the story pictures of her pushing other peoples items off the conveyor belt and yelling at anyone who told her different.

1) Don’t cut in line. If you and your cousin split up to stand on different lines, and her line is moving faster, you have to put your things down before the person behind her puts their things down. In other words make your choice before you get to the conveyor belt or else its cutting.
2) If someone has a problem with you cutting in line, back down and go back to your other line. Its not hard and its the right thing to do.
3) If the police are coming to arrest you, there is nothing you can do about it. Don’t resist, don’t talk shit, and don’t cop and attitude. Why? Well because any response other than Yes sir or No Sir will get you fucked up.

Don’t get me wrong, I don’t think she should go to jail at all. Maybe some community service for being a dumb bitch, but not jail. Everyone has put their two cents in like Anderson Cooper, please no racism here move on.

You can see for yourself the Walmart Video is here and her website is here.
Update Heather Ellis takes plea deal offered by the prosecutor. The deal is Pleading Guilty to Resisting arrest, 4 days in Jail, take an anger management class and 2 years of probation. A fitting end.

Yes I have to admit it, I’m a hater. I hate all of the world and some things more than others. I’m such a hater that I’ve decided to make a list of some of the things I hate.

  • I hate people who are always feeling ‘Awkward’ , Fuck You
  • I hate people who are always Outraged, guess what Fuck You too.
  • I hate people who read blogs and leave comments about punctuation errors, your a Cunt.

Lets do away with the “I hate people” part and we’ll just assume I hate the following

  • Liberals, you liberal assholes.
  • Conservatives, you narrow minded pricks
  • Libertarians, racist Douchbags
  • People oversensitive about race, my motto is “There is no racial bigotry here. I do not look down on niggers, kikes, wops or greasers. Here you are all equally worthless. “, real talk
  • Who look down when they walk.
  • Grotesquely Obese people, do something you lazy fat fuck.
  • People with two tattoo’s on their shoulder and say its the beginning of a sleeve, no its not your a poser prick.
  • People who ask “How is that tattoo going to look like when your 60″, probably as wrinkly as my dick.
  • People who chant “Si se puede”, like its some type of policy statement, give me a plan.
  • People who wear any Christian Audigier Clothing line, you Douchbag.

This is just a short list of the kinds of people I hate. Trust me it will get longer every day I find a new type of person to hate on. Its kind of fun since every rap song these days are going on and on about haters. I thought I would reveal my true political position.

This video of the senseless killing of Derrion Albert is just heartbreaking. The worst part is that he was an innocent bystander and just happened to stumble into the middle of a wild melee.
On a good not Nas took it upon himself to say something about the fight that took Derrion’s life. Society has created these frustrated warriors with no outlet for them to take out their frustrations.
When I was a kid my mother would say “Your going to look back on all of this and just laugh”. Not that this is a laughing matter, but when these young men think about why they were fighting I doubt that the reason is going to as important as it was that moment.
The young men who beat Derrion to death were charged this morning with first degree murder. Whew that is sure a hard jacket to shake but I’m big on personal responsibility so I guess that is what happens. The worst part is that I know about the destruction of black youth and the effects of slavery and Jim Crow on the psyches of our yourth. But, Real Talk, I don’t give a fuck, throw the book at these guys. I’m tired of hearing about Slavery and I’m tired of hearing about psychological hurt.
As Deniro said in Taxi Driver.
“Thank God for the rain to wash the trash off the sidewalk.”
Word, I hope the best for his family.

I really can’t understand the resistance to nationalized healthcare. It seems to all boil down to selfishness.

The real problem is the structure of the Health Care System. The way the system is currently structured, Doctors, nurses, testing places, and clinics only get paid when you get sick. There is no insentive to keep the patient healthy. In todays system the doctor doesn’t get paid unless you come in for a checkup or for some type of procedure. There fore its not really in his best interest (from a financial standpoint) to give you any type of preventive medicine, to heap people live better lives. What is happening now is a system that makes money from managing disease than promoting health.

The bottom line is that its not cost effective to manage disease. The only cost effective thing to do is manage health, but that is not rewarded in todays health care system.

Now about the selfishness and short sightedness in the current healthcare debate. I hear lots of complaints from health care reform critics about rationing, bureaucracy and the cost. I even hear these complaints from people at my job who should be the last ones talking about rationing, bureaucracy and cost, shit we work for the City.

The one reason I all for health care reform is due to pure selfishness. I know that no job is ordained by god and any of us can be laid off or fired and if I am ever let go I am scared to death of how I will afford health insurance. Have you ever tried to pay for Cobra, you might as well ask for my first born child.

Why isn’t the business community coming forward to defend health care reform, this is one community that is supposed to benefit from some type of reform. There is tremendous financial pressure on small businesses who try to provide health care for their empoyee’s.
I hope they work this out.

Its sad to say, that I’m an Obeseaphobe. Its not that I’m scared of obese people, its just that I’m disgusted by grotesquely obese people. Not all of them mind you. Its just the ones that have no good reason for being Obese.
Ok, Ok its not good to judge, but . . . . I do anyway.

  • Every time I see a fat person
  • Drown a salad in Ranch Dressing
  • Talk on the phone while on the treadmill
  • Take the elevator from the 6th to the 7th floor
  • Eating carls JR, slurping on a Diet Coke

I just wanna scream you “Fat Bitch”, change your habits!!
Then when I hear people complain about their size, or show disdain for people who exercise. I also want to scream.
I give women a little bit of slack because they have to deal with hormones and all, but most men have no excuse at all. Yea, Yea, Yea there are a variety of reasons why a person is legitimately a fat shit, like Thyroid Disease, joint injuries or a whole host of other ailments that can add to your weight but, there is no reason for such a large percentage of the population to be so overweight.
Its even worst for children. Then there really is no excuse for that shit. Obese children make me sick and make me mad at the parents. What the hell are you feeding these kids. If they keep eating junk food then, hmmmm maybe keep the junk food out of the house.
I’m no saint either, I have my own weight issues, but I try. I try to keep below 210 at all times, which for my 6’2″ is still about 15 lbs overweight. Anthing over then that, means I can’t fit into Banana Republic clothes and that would be a catastrophy.
Please don’t get it twisted, I don’t believe in the super skinny fashion magazine vision what is acceptable. I’m not even talking about being skinny, a woman who is a size 12 is just right. I’m talking about the big grotesquely obese monstrosities that are walking around masquerading themselves as two legged people.

Don’t worry he seems like a nice guy, don’t you see his tie and freshly pressed white shirt. Its my friend Chris he likes to hang out at Obama Rallies and carry around his AR15 don’t be scared Mr. President he’s black also.

When I first read about a guy with an assault rifle at an Obama Rally I thought it was just another right wing White nut job. After a little more scrutiny, I realized . . . .hey this dude is a brother. I was surprised. I was as surprised as when I found out that the DC Sniper was a black guy, I knew it had to be a white person, but alas it was a black man. Not that black folks aren’t crazy its just that you expect brothers to be in a smaller crime box, Its usually white guys who go and do crazy nut job stuff that they make movies out of.

While reading about Chris (you know the guy with the assault rifle), i was floored by the comments people had. It seems to be a consensus with some people that if he had been white the police would of taken him down. What utter bullshit. It never ceases to amaze me how Caucasian Americans know how to play the victim. Its like slave-owning colonialists crying about how unfair their taxes are, wtf.

So if your wondering, where the crazy black people are just ask the Brother with the Assault Rifle at the Obama rally.

Well not really, but sometimes I feel like it. Although I’m a registered Democrat in the back of my mind I root for Republicans.
The real problem is “Why isn’t there a viable third party in the United States?”, the choice seems to be the bleeding heart liberal democrats or the borderline racist republicans. Its terrible.

What about the Libertarians? Oh those kooks. To me most Libertarians want the constitution followed to the letter, which to me means that I would be 3/4 of a person.

Both the Republicans and Democrats seem to be ruled by the fringes today, it so sickening. Where is the Central Right Party. One that believes in:

  • The separation between church and state
  • Balanced Budgets and Fiscal Discipline
  • Entitlement Programs that promote work like Unemployment Insurance and Universal Healthcare.
  • The Elimination of Welfare
  • Fair Tax Policy

Hey, I’m as right wing as I can get. I believe in Law and Order, btw Rodney King deserved to get his ass beat (is that right enouph for you), but I also believe that O.J. Simson was found not guilty so he should be left alone. My outlook is let me make my money and make sure my tax dollars are spent wisely. Whats wrong with that.

I love the new Obama Joker Socialism Poster. I don’t understand what the hell the big fuss is all about. Don’t any of you follow street art. Although it might be being put up by a creative street artist or a corporate lobbying cube monkey, its still great.

Why are people yelling that the poster is racist. Because it has the black president in whiteface. Its a parody of the Joker stupid. The real genius of the poster is the SOCIALISM at the bottom of it. That is great.

In a way he is being a Joker. In order to get the plan passed Obama has to swear to got that its not a Socialist plan, but in truth it is. Not that Socialism is really bad. Medicare, Unemployment Insurance, S.S.I., Welfare and Food stamps are all Socialist programs, but try to take Medicare away and your will get a national revolt. Its a joke how he has to talk around the root of the issue. Medial Care is a right not a privilege.

Oh the craziness of it all.
