That just happens to be one of my favorite websites. I love seeing people looking absolutely triflin’. They have a section of the Site Called Tatted Up, check it out. Its a riot.

Cindy Ray started off as as a model with no tattoos and at the urging of a photographer Harry Bartram, she became heavily tattooed and the poster girl for a variety of tattoo equipment.

Why did I post the picture? Because Tattooed women in jeweled glasses are hott.

In 1.5 months, if all goes well my wife and I will be blessed with a little baby girl. You know I’ve been thinking how she can be whatever she wants in life, but daddy would really like it if she would shy away from a few things.

Please Don’t become a Stripper or Prostitute. Yea, its not cool. If you start as a stripper someone will want you to turn a trick. Stripping in itself is like prostitution without sex. If you want to be a freak, be a freak but don’t do it because you need the money, then eventually you will have to do something you don’t want to.
Please don’t become a train wreck and end up on Intervention. Baby I watch this show all the time, and drugs are bad. Your daddy has done his fair share but he never used anything that didn’t come straight from the ground. Your daddy is imperfect, please strive to be better than him.
Please don’t become a video model. Regardless of how beautiful they are, Regardless of how glamorous the life might look but the truth of the matter is. Video models are broke. Yea believe it or not, they don’t have any real money. The producer has money, the artist has money, the director has money, but the pretty girl shaking her as drives a 1990 accord, for real.
I can go on for days but this is just a start as you come into this world baby.

Browsing this site I’ve found some runs I didn’t know about before. Although they could use some better searching tools but I’ll work for now.

The video blog “Alive in Bagdhad” has had me captivated. It details the daily lives of Iraq civilians. What really blows me away is that some of the footage could of been taken in Arizona. You see all the real people who are being affected by the war in Iraq. These guys in these videos look like any of the people you see running any Inner City corner store, looking real as hell; burly, hairy, with that thick mustache wearing eurotrash suits, you know the look.
I grew up in suburban Maryland, most of my friends were Ethiopian and Indian Muslims. This has left me with a much more nuanced view of world events. I can remember sitting on the floor eating Injera during Eide after Ramadan, talking about the first Iraq war.
It really hits when you see these videos by Iraqis, but they look just like most of my high school friends, the mannerism are so familiar.

Other than having to work with Linux every day. This is the reason I run it at home.

The housing market is having a abrupt slowdown. It’s about time things began to stop going crazy. Don’t worry I don’t have any numbers or figures, I’ll leave that to my boys at OC FlipTrack, the only thing you’ll get over here is gross generalizations and assumptions. Unfortunately for the majority of people in America gross generalization and assumptions is more than enough for them to form an opinion.
Eventually prices will fall to a point where I could actually afford a house in the Los Angeles area. With prices at such astronomical levels, the next logical question is; what do people do for a living to afford the housing prices?
Here is one real life example. A few weeks ago at lunch my coworker and I were just walking around Downtown and there was a condo open house, so being curious we walked in to see what was going down.
There was only one condo left, a beautiful unit, a spacious 740 sq/ft, one bedroom hovel.
“Well how much are you asking for this unit? “
“Only 450k, it’s a bargain, this is our last unit”, was the answer.
What a bargain, only $608 sq/ft, where can I sign up.
Once again, who is buying these places?
Maybe when prices dive, I can slip in and buy something at about 300k. The funny thing is the bubble really burst about 7-8 months ago, it takes about that long for the newspapers to catch on to current trends. These are the links that keep me informed.

The PIx Channel is showing a series of short documentaries on famous photographers.
The words from these inspirational people are really moving. Many of the featured photographers are people that have taken photographs that have changed our view of the world. Check it out, it even gives a horrible photographer like myself a little bit of hope.
